Car and College

December 17th, 2013 at 08:23 pm

This is going to be a quick post, but.....CAR IS PAID OFF!!!!! We have no loans on our vehicles and I received my title in the mail the other day! Woohoo!

It's a good feeling that if something were to happen to it, I wouldn't owe anything on it! :-)

And... I got my grades today for the two classes I took this semester and I passed!! Only three classes left! YEAH!

Wonderful news on two fronts! You said you'd pay off the car in December and carried out your plan, kudos. While Christmas is too busy, perhaps in the New Year you'll update your electronic calendar with specific dates for check-ups and maintenance. If you have the auto manual it gives timelines or mileage targets for your particular model. The information is easily Googled. Our vehicles give better than expected performance and longevity when they get oil changes and fluid checks recommended by the manufacturer. Watch for sales/coupons, they needn't be done at the dealership. [ It's best to check that the caps are all correctly in place before driving off the lot and a good idea to slide a piece of cardboard box under the car when you return home in case something drips...guess how I learned that]

I watched Marketplace 'Greasy Business' segment so keep in mind they can try to up-sell.

    Enjoy your final 3 courses.
